Steven Nicely MP274.10 Also visited the transportation museum... Almost cried to see the 1218 and 611 under cover..... I have seen Conrail units on P&W shops.. and Amtrak F40 units on Central Vermont shops in New London, CT in the early 80's. They all have hotboxes and failed bearings.. only choice is to take them to the nearest shops for repairs and foot the bills to railroaders. Even tho, I have seen UP, SP, NS, BNSF or CN units inside Selkirk shops for serious repairs. One time there was a CN SD40-2 lost a truck on a derailment in Little Falls, NY in the 80's Conrail had to fix it for CN in Selkirk then tow it dead back to CN the next following weeks after the investigation.
