Eastern Railroad Discussion > A Chase on the Arcade & AtticaDate: 10/02/26 17:00 A Chase on the Arcade & Attica Author: JUTower In late August, PittsburghMike and I made a foray up into Western New York to see what we could see of the various shortlines outside of Buffalo and Rochester. We quickly learned that one could spend an entire week exploring, as there's quite a lot we didn't do! Anyway, for the first installment, please enjoy our Thursday chase of the ARA from Arcade out to Java, NY.

It seems that at least 1 in serviceable but the train crew told us that the 116 gets things done. Very rarely they've needed to dig out a 44T to pair up (which takes two engineers due to no MU). Industry wise, maybe PittsburghMike can weigh in on that. It seemed like maybe only 2-3 but admittedly we didn't explore the end of the line around Java to see what was what as we left the Java lake scene to try to catch the LA&L. You’re right about there being too much to see in one trip in that area of New stork State! Dan Posted from iPhone Date: 10/03/26 04:43 Re: A Chase on the Arcade & Attica Author: Pattenburg Really like photo # 6!
