The southbound Vermonter # 57 (the "Pride of the North" per the conductor) arrives Palmer, MA on NECR and has permission from CSX NA dispatcher to take the controlled siding to make its reverse move to Springfield, NYC, and beyond.

Wrapping up a day of photography on the first sunny Saturday in over a month, I caught NECR reaching into Monson, MA to switch cars at its small Palmer yard.
