Model Railroading > grab irons for sd80-90 macs ???????

unless kato simply put a incorect spacing of the holes and incorest grabiron size on the front of the cab and rear of the long hood for these units they apear to have a much smaller width then the da-2201s that i asked about earlyer. as such does anyone make a prebent brass or metel grabiron for these units or did kato simply do theres incorectly

The grabs on the rear of the SD80/90 series units are in fact narrower than the typical EMD grab. I've never measured the Kato ones, but I suspect they are fairly close. As far as I know, You'll have to bend your own if you want wire grabs.

I plugged the holes with the ends of the KATO grabs. Then filled in with thick CA. Sanded smooth and then drilled and installed Detail Associates 2201`s
