Model Railroading > Restencil for 80's era SP BoxcarsDate: 06/29/07 12:52 Restencil for 80's era SP Boxcars Author: XSP8286W Im trying to model my Intermountain SP/SSW boxcars for the mid to late 80's era. I know by that time most of the cars had restenciled data and maintenence info. For example, the "SP 5-85" was applied and diff weight restrictions were common. I am trying to find some decals sets to obtain those specific's from. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks Date: 06/29/07 17:10 Re: Restencil for 80's era SP Boxcars Author: RAS Nothing ready to use, not that I've found, anyway. I've always had to piece the bits togehter that I need. Microscale's solid-color decal sheet makes easy paint patches, too.
Re-weigh patches and restencil data is a much-needed item, IMO. I've actually thought about having some custom-printed.... -R Rick Selby Redmond, WA Pacific Northwest RPM Date: 06/30/07 01:50 Re: Restencil for 80's era SP Boxcars Author: conrail767596 RAS Wrote:

It gets tedious cutting and splicing together small bits of decals. Very few cars roll on for years without getting re-weighed. Most of it is steam era, but the reweigh dates go through 1979. They might help. -WC
