Model Railroading > Pactra Paint / Air Brush QuestionDate: 11/17/08 20:12 Pactra Paint / Air Brush Question Author: Infern0 Hello,
I am using Testors Pactra Paint (designed for R/C Lexan bodies) to paint my N Scale Loco handrails. I have found it difficult to work with a brush streight out the bottle. I want to try to use my Paasche Air Brush to achieve better results. My LHS does not have any specific thinner for this paint. I tried using common laquer thinner thru the air brush but it was spraying 'webs' of paint everywhere. Why was that ? What is the cheapest/best way to thin this paint for use in an air brush ? Thanks for your help, KevO Date: 11/17/08 21:29 Re: Pactra Paint / Air Brush Question Author: wfre Kev - I use Pactra Racing Finish for my HO handrails and brush it on - no problem. There is a Thinner for those paints - a Marin County, CA hobby shop carries it - Dollhouses and More. Cleans up with water. I'd experiment diluting with water in a pinch but have no personal experience airbrushing with it.
