Model Railroading > What to do with yellowed decals?Date: 05/22/10 17:24 What to do with yellowed decals? Author: mgwsy1978 I have some older Champ decals that have yellowed a little and curious if there is a way to resurrect them? I have been told to tape them to a window and let the sun bleach them but that sounds odd and not sure if it would really work. Any suggestions or are these junk?
Thanks Mark G Date: 05/22/10 17:28 Re: What to do with yellowed decals? Author: PHall mgwsy1978 Wrote:

It hasn't made the decals I've used it on brittle, but I also put a coat of Microscale Liquid Decal Film just to be on the safe side. Airplane and armour modelers have been using this trick for years. Date: 05/23/10 08:24 Re: What to do with yellowed decals? Author: mgwsy1978 OK well I shall give it a shot and all the lettering is white if that makes a difference. Any idea how long this takes?

A day or two usually, depends on how much sun you get. It's kinda like cooking, just check on them every once-in-a-while and remove when you have the desired degree of whiteness.
