Laying track, the hard way

Old loop on the left, new loop about to be laid down.

My mission, get the track through this briar patch.

The chain saw is my friend ..... but then, so is a Lone Star longneck.

Looks like a LOT of fun, even with the briar patch parting of seas! Looks like you were very productive. What's the reason for the newer wider loop?

Go, go! ... that way the world won't ever have to put up with another Texas president.

Ooops! (that slipped out) ... I meant to say I really like your miniature Railroad.

I knew the pictures were from Texas, because of ArgyleEagle, but Texas is a big place. Judging from the background, it could be Zube Park near Houston, but I don't think so.

Answers to questions AE failed to answer. Ballast about 3" to 5" deep but will vary due to depressions in the ground. Rock size, anywhere from 1/2" to 1".

That doesn't look like code 83 track, I guess everything is bigger in Texas.

Doesn't look like Rod Stewart either...

Great fun.
