Model Railroading > Another new (old) structure on the California SouthernDate: 02/19/12 01:02 Another new (old) structure on the California Southern Author: MrMRL Just continuing the construction blitz on the HO scale California Southern layout with a brand new building mashed together with parts from both the Walthers Red Wing Flour Mill and it's background counterpart Centennial Mills. This is another background structure, this time built askew to match the angle of a street along one side. A few of the window and door arrangements were modified with styrene inserts to help blend the major wall sections together. Once assembled, the building was weathered with a sampling of AIM Products alcohol weathering washes.
In case anyone missed it, check out my post from a couple weeks back to see some of the other structures already in place. http://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?3,2676750 As always all recent photos can be viewed at the club's website. Well, even if it's an espresso stand/storage unit now, it's a beautiful industrial edifice. Thanks for showing--almost makes a body want to get back into modeling. Kurt.
