Model Railroading > Model Railroad Openhouse Schedule 2012 DE, NJ, PA, MDDate: 11/04/12 08:09 Model Railroad Openhouse Schedule 2012 DE, NJ, PA, MD Author: brfriedm So our openhouses kicked off and this is our first full weekend. We had a busy day yesterday with 28 layouts open and today with 21 layouts open today. You can see our site here.
http://www.modelrailroadopenhouse.com/index.html I only visited one layout yesterday as I had to get home and get ready for my own which I had last night. The below shots are from Carl Huth's Reading layout and then some shots from my openhouse. I had a very good crowd last night. Carl's is quite large and he has just started on the scenery which is looking good. Bruce Date: 11/04/12 08:31 Re: Model Railroad Openhouse Schedule 2012 DE, NJ, PA, Author: WrongWayMurphy Since y'all have model RR's in basements, how did most of the layouts fare after the storm?

I had no cancellations from any layout owners so far since the storm. Bruce Date: 11/04/12 10:32 Re: Model Railroad Openhouse Schedule 2012 DE, NJ, PA, Author: dnuck Thanks Very Much for posting all those great photos of two layouts. I think Carl Huth's scenery is excellent and the more he does the better. Being an older MRRer I appreciate all of the fine work to obtain such layout's. Any more photos of your layout are always appreciated.

Two questions: First, Where did you get the CSX yard tower from? Second, the cab on CSXT #4005 who made the cab or is it scratch built? Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 11/04/12 10:51 by alco539. You must have some fine dispatchers to be able to handle all of those trains on a single track railroad! Good stuff, as always. Nick Date: 11/05/12 16:03 Re: Model Railroad Openhouse Schedule 2012 DE, NJ, PA, Author: philhoov How were the clouds done on the wall background?
