Peco Turnouts

When installing the power switch under the Peco turnout must you remove the spring for the motor to activate the switch?
Also may the turnout receive track power or should it receive power from the accessory contacts on the power supply?
I am talking about DC control.

Hi Hal,

Do not remove the spring. The Peco Motor will not hold the point closed.
Only remove the spring if you use a motor like the Tortoise slow motion motors.
You will need to power the motor from you accessories.
