In the quietness of a late Fall evening in the Berkeley hills so many, many years ago, the still air is broken by hissing steam of a waiting 12-inch gauge "CRICKET" and its train, about to depart for one more run before heading back to the Roundhouse. The late Erich Thomsen was her builder, and the day would eventually come in the future when she would give way to the 5-inch scale, 15-inch gauge trains of the Redwood Valley Railway.
