Model Railroading > Compare and contrast these two F's ... show your workDate: 05/21/13 07:19 Compare and contrast these two F's ... show your work Author: WrongWayMurphy On the left is Trainorders.com member MKT103's kitbashed MKT #401B, which is an ex F3
that the Katy had modified into a booster with the guts of a GP38. Yardclerk had a thread on this oddity a few years ago : http://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?1,70438 On the right is my Stewart F3 factory painted with details and weathering by myself. Diesel shed and scene is on my layout. Although the green #401B is butt-ugly, MKT103 did a great job modelling it. It needs 40 lbs of weathering on it and it will be fine.

As a die hard Katy fan I built one from an old Athearn F7 years ago, still have it but am itching to build a much better model out of a Genesis F3. Scott |
