Model Railroading > A new 3-rail exhibit railroad in Old Town, San DiegoDate: 12/17/14 17:49 A new 3-rail exhibit railroad in Old Town, San Diego Author: winstonhill While out and about this afternoon, the Commander and I stumbled upon a new exhibition toy train (3-rail) railroad in the Old Town tourist district of San Diego, CA, just off the I-5 freeway. It's called Old Town Model Railroad Depot. They've done a great job in about a 50'x50' space. Half the railroad is portrayed in the daytime, the other half at night. Lots of interesting lighted exhibits, several of which feature animation operated by the visitor via push buttons on the fascia. It's open Wednesday through Sunday; didn't catch the hours of operation. Admission is $7.00. Their website is OldTownModelRaiulroadDepot.com.
