Great looking scene. I don't recognize the cars as having been commercially available. Anybody know if they are scratch built? or kits?

Look like the old Train-Miniature Hart Convertible Gondolas.

They were scratchbuilt about 1975 (I think) with wood and metal castings, brass
ladder stock, Central Valley truss-rod kits and a design to look like circa 1905
composite gondola construction you might see on a traction line.

Valle Vista was n actual place and they really had a rock quarry -- near Moraga --
but I've never seen any good photos. I used to hunt up there back in the day. I
think it closed before WW-One. So it's all guess work.

Great looking scene. But that clamshell bucket is much too large for that crane.
