Scaletrains GEVO Speed Settings
Author: tomnoy3

So I had bought one of the Rivet Counter DCC locomotives and finally had a chance to run it this weekend. However, it would not MU or run anything close to my other units.

Didnt matter what values we changed, it still ran delayed compared to my other locomotives. Has anyone else experienced this? Or know what values to change?

Thank you

I've got the same problem so I only run them with another GEVO. I have got several pre GEVO IM with ESU sound and got it to run pretty good with the Scale Trains ones.

Dear ?,

You have to turn off all the momentum. and then they will be fine. I believe if u change CV124 to 16 that will take care of things. Bruce

I will have to try that next time I get it on the program track. Thank you.

Both IM and ScaleTrains Tier4 units seem to come with a massive amount of momentum programmed in. Yes, it will take a session on the program track to change these to match your requirements.

Make the change I recommended and it wipes out all momentum. Which is what I like. Bruce

Bruce is right about CV 124. That is that start delay, which will help match it to other brands of decoders when turned off.
