circuit breaker
Author: schneid

I have a utah pacific constant light unit (1.5v output) hooked in series with resistors and then to a dc power source. Is there any way to have some kind of a breaker in series with the bulbs so that is the power pack or unit malfunctions that the bulbs don't get blown out?

I'd avoid a circuit breaker in this case - slow acting, the bulb would likely burn out before the circuit breaker tripped.

Put in a voltage regulator to bring it down to 5 volts, then a resistor in series with the bulb.
