Try upgrading with Intermountain Metal Wheel sets. Also, the January Model Railroader (I received my digital edition today) has an article on making cars more reliable. Part of the article includes using a Reboxx Exxact Socket no. T-100 to remove flash and generally tune up axle holes on plastic trucks. I believe that Micro Mark sells a similar product. I have used mine for years. It works.

Before you spend a lot of money on new trucks, try tuning the ones you have. It will save money!

Also, weathering goes a long way to make trucks look better.

Have fun!
