Author: LarryDoyle Yesterday, a major milestone was achieved in the construction of the Minnesota Midland Railroad, celebrating completion of construction of all trackage, hard shell and soft shell scenery, bridges, ballasting and water features. (Many structures and foliage remain unfinished, though).
To celebrate this event the railroad ran a railfans special over the entire line with two coaches and an open gondola for photographers. Consolidation No. 32 took the entourage from Red Cedar Junction to Zumbrota, and Mogul 2119 handled the return trip.
