Model Railroading > Last operating session.........

With deep regret AND a heavy heart, the Sherman Hill Model Railroad Club in Cheyenne WY announces that it's last public operating sessions at the layout in Frontier Mall in Cheyenne WY will be Saturday and Sunday August 18/19 2018 for the foreseeable future. Operating hours will be from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and noon to 4pm on Sunday. The Mall needs our space for another tenant.  We have enjoyed our three(3) year run in the Mall and hope that we will be able to return in the future to the Frontier Mall!

If you come to Cheyenne in September, there is always the Cheyenne Depot Museum and Harry Brunk's Union Central and Northern HOn3 layout, based on the Clear Creek Division of the Colorado and Southern Railroad just west of Denver CO!  Well worth the visit!

We have also discussed the possibility of a smaller version of this layout in another space in the mall. This is still being considered.

The Cheyenne & Green River layout will be strongly remembered by all who set it up, operated it, upgraded it and will continue to preserve and run at much of it as possible. As of today it appears that the Sherman Hill Model Railroad Club will possibly continue the three year relationship with Frontier Mall in Cheyenne, WY and enter into a slightly smaller space with a smaller version of the layout and continue operating to entertain all those who choose to attend. There are many videos and pictures being taken and will be placed here for viewing by all railroad aficionados. Please keep checking back as we are still here.
