Model Railroading > SP Beet rack RutDate: 09/22/18 11:25 SP Beet rack Rut Author: dmaffei Still working on this train. Working on 5 more racks with custom extensions that the Red Caboose did not do. Believe it or not, the hard part is done on these 5 cars. 47 competed, 5 (photo 1) on the work bench, 12 more to go.
Photo 2 is at the 47 cars at the Crockett Model railroad club with Mark McLeod's SP power on the point Date: 09/22/18 11:33 Re: SP Beet rack Rut Author: sp8234 Very nice Dave

Date: 09/24/18 10:58 Re: SP Beet rack Rut Author: CPRR That is interesting about the loads but....He used pomegranate seeds from smaller pomegranates mixed with 1/32 scale potatoes to form a mold? Out of what, Laytex? Then made the molds out of? Just wondering
Date: 09/24/18 13:00 Re: SP Beet rack Rut Author: dmaffei No Castings. I'm using seeds from small pomegranate's. I wash the seeds well in water and bake in an oven at 200 degrees for 30 minutes to prevent germination and mold. I also use Juweela Scenic 1/32 scale potatoes. a mixture of these two work well for me. Photo is what the 1/32 potatoes look like
