Model Railroading > Centerbeam flat carsDate: 10/09/18 08:59 Centerbeam flat cars Author: Santafes95 I realized that I did not post pictures earlier. The reason I made the post is that these have been a pain in the you know what, but I know it will be well worth the effort when they are complete. I am anxious to get the last one complete and move on to a couple of projects I have in mind.

Beautiful work! Date: 10/09/18 17:19 Re: Centerbeam flat cars Author: PHall I've seen people use pieces of both paper and tape with good effect.
Date: 10/10/18 07:33 Re: Centerbeam flat cars Author: Santafes95 I use pinstripe tape but I also glue it down. I leave a little overhang and then when I pull the thread(cable) I make sure that I pull over the tape and the overhang comes down to the load. I tired to use styrene but didn't have much luck. Hard to cut and the paint made it real soft. The pinstripe tape works well and fast.
