All,

I’ll be in Santa Fe, NM through this weekend. Can anyone provide recommendations on hobby shops, museums, layouts or good railfanning spots in the area?

Thanks for your help.

You can ride the commuter line down between the Interstate lanes. The Santa Fe Southern shortline can be found in the area.

The Santa Fe Southern has not run for years, but the former ATSF depot is there in Santa Fe and also in Lamy, where Amtrak stops.

I sure hope so!  Their Facebook page has not had any updates since 2014.

If Amtrak #3 and #4 run on-time, they either pass or come close to passing in Lamy.

Just south of the former Santa Fe station is the "Santa Fe Railyard". It's a gentrified location where you can watch the Railrunners arrive and depart.
