Model Railroading > A green tunnelDate: 12/12/18 20:44 A green tunnel Author: tomstp Richard Day of Dallas Tx runs his Texas & Pacific NW2 through a tunnel of over hanging trees at a spring meet on the Comanche & Indian Gap live steam railroad.. The looks of the area will charge markedly for the fall meet as the growth will not be as lush nor the shade as plentiful.

passed away and his widow sold his track and equipment. She told me there was a fake snake wound up inside the vines in the tunnel, and I quickly forgot, then freaked out when I saw it after walking through it. Part of the track taken up was re-used near Fort Worth, the other part in Nacogdoches. I purchased his three locomotives (GP7, SW7, and a Super Mack) and 6 freight cars (a tank car, two flatties, and three gons), and also a shorty caboose. Photo is of GP7 after I brought it back from Visckburg. |
