Model Railroading > What rolling stock would you like to see produced?Date: 01/02/19 22:21 What rolling stock would you like to see produced? Author: TS735 In the same vein as my previous thread, what rolling stock (freight cars, passenger cars, cabooses, MOW, etc) would you like to see produced? Be sure to state your scale.
My pick in HO scale: A state of the art multi dome wine tank car. Circa 1930’s-1970. Ryan Barber Stockton, CA Date: 01/02/19 22:43 Re: What rolling stock would you like to see produced? Author: Lark HO Scale

> "California / Surfliner Cars" Definitely the California and Surfliner Cars - one would have thought this would have been produced in RTR form a decade ago or more by now, but nope. Also as a long shot, add on the former NJT Comet single-level conversions now running on Amtrak California. Oh, and Amtrak Horizon equipment too. and lest we forget.. - SP Budd Sunset Limited equipment (especially the food service cars). Cheers, Harry Date: 01/03/19 05:39 Re: What rolling stock would you like to see produced? Author: mcdeo +10 on the Cal/Surfliner cars. Agree with Harry, very suprised that these have not been done yet in RTR.
An updated, available run of Amtrak Horizon and Amfleet cars would be nice. Not easy to find any readily available. Author: SPDRGWfan I would like to see an HO plastic International Extended Vision Caboose of modular design so it could correctly copy a variety of road names; my specific wish is for a class of 15 International EV Rio Grande cabooses in Grande gold/silver and also orange.

I too am looking forward to the 62' ACF straight taper bulkhead flat cars and some of the plain flat cars. Cheers, Jim Date: 01/03/19 07:14 Re: What rolling stock would you like to see produced? Author: aehouse I've been waiting for more than 50 years for someone to produce the DL&W/EL Phoebe Snow in HO scale. No one has ever done a single example of the coaches, diner, or obs, though back in the 1960s, Rivarossi did have a correct, ACF-built 10/6 sleeper available. It was not, however, ever offered in DL&W or EL colors.

..more "data only" freight cars, ie covered hoppers, open hoppers(100 T + coal cars) etc, for those of us with "fictional short lines".. ..HEP power cars for passenger trains w/SOUND.. Also need more 70's-80's tank cars and gondolas. Tank car variants offered tend to be mostly too old or too new for me. Thrall/PS/Raceland gondolas needed en masse.

I'll second that, if you are talking about those common three dome cars sporting one large and two small domes, or a four dome car decorated for Gibson Wines. Otherwise, I'd like to see a Gilderfluke, but I guess that doesn't fall into the rolling stock category. E. O. Gibson Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 01/03/19 10:30 by hogheaded.
