'What if' DME 7008 SD70ACE
Author: sp8192

Some projects are quick, and some get put on the back burner.   This one has been on the back burner for a while until last night.   I added a few more decals to it and I should finish it up in the next few days.   A good friend of mine wanted a DME sd70ACE, so I made one for him.   I will post pics once it has been completed...

Progress pics from the past...

Or at least more runs of undecs so we can paint them (or ship them to those that can paint for some of us).

That would be nice for my breast cancer and oak harbor ones I'm in process of hopefully getting done.

1. Because if the DM&E had been allowed to build the line to access the Wyoming coal fields they would have most likely ordered a considerable amount of new power to handle the business.

2.  It's his perogative.

Because the owner of the model paid him to do it.

Not even sure how to answer this....but I'll give it a shot.   Because model trains are fun.   Because I enjoy detailing and painting and customizing model trains.   Because I want to.    Because I find it enjoyable.   Because a good fried of mine asked me to assist in their model train fantasy world and I gladly accepted their challenge.   Because I don't like to take a RTR model out of the box and post pics of it.   Because I enjoy the gratification and feel I get once a model is completed and my customer is happy with the finished produce...  man, I could go on and on and on and on....

a friend informed me that use to work form them back in the day that  "The DM&E had a production slot with GE for 50 ES44AC’s but opted to spend the money on more welded rail instead."
