Model Railroading > Athearn RTR SD40 truck issue and repair.

New out of the box SD40 derailed on ladder during test run. Flipped it over and noticed the rear truck frame bent into a nice bow shape and bearings falling through. Twenty minutes later it was repaired. Hopefully I’m the only one who experienced this, but if you notice bad behavior with your SD40 take a look. Also took a moment to remove paint from the frame surface where the bearings contact it. Noticed the wheels were quite dirty. Sorry no pics. Took some great ones with the IPad, but TO doesn’t like them.( or Apple doesn’t like TO😉)
