Model Railroading > SP and UP Today On The Rails Of CMRS Crockett, Calif. LayoutDate: 05/12/19 20:55 SP and UP Today On The Rails Of CMRS Crockett, Calif. Layout Author: FiveChime . SP FP7 6462 came from the Cotton Belt as their Daylight Painted locomotive 306. It came to the SP in the early 1960s
and was painted red and gray and renumber 6462, By the mid 1960s, 6462 was added to the SF-SJ Commute Power Pool. It was the only F unit in that servivce. While I was running the commute train, Dexter Day had the combined UP City of Los Angeles and City of St. Louis running with 20 cars. Regards, Jim Evans Date: 05/14/19 12:10 Re: SP and UP Today On The Rails Of CMRS Crockett, Calif. Layout Author: 6432 Thanks for the pics. I remember seeing the 6462 in San Francisco at the seventh street fueling and servicing area. The last FP 7 in passenger service for the SP. To bad it didn't end up in a museum. Was it the only SP FP 7 in the SF pool without a plow and dynamic braking? Thanks.
