Did Pennsylvania Railroad use their Trainmasters on passenger trains?

I recall mention of their being in hump and yard service along with ore trains, but my fuzzy memory recalls some pictures of them on a passenger run.

Many thanks
Michael

I've seen pix of Reading Train Masters on passenger but can't remember Pennsy's on anything but freight. Have not been able to find many photos of them to see if they had steam generators or water tank fillers. A builder photo doesn't appear to show any provision for the steam trainline.

No steam generators on the PRR Trainmasters . So no passenger service. --------- Ken

Depending on the service S/G were not 100% necessary for a passenger assignment.

Trainmaster, one word, is a railroad operating dept. officer. Train Master, two words, is a locomotive .

Um, no ...

This is a photo of a model, but the lettering is accurate: http://archive.atlasrr.com/Images/HOLocomotives/hotrainmaster/Demonstrator.jpg

And here's an F-M booklet about the Train Master demos on the NYC: https://nebula.wsimg.com/f78f910dafd68dd0c37c5ed58564d85d?AccessKeyId=5CF08DE3AA6646FE752D&disposition=0&alloworigin=1
