Doesn't look like it. Then they'd have to do a U34CH to pull/push them.

That was my first reaction. Gee maybe a future run with a concurrent U34/36C release just daydreaming.

Didn't Atlas do those EL units a few decades ago...  Rapido might be delaying until Atlas does rerun.

Woo.  The Amtrak F40PH in the later phase and HQ version that beats KATO is what I've been waiting for with much patience.  It's been so long I've been asking that I kinda gave up so was a bit surprised (pleasantly) that they are "finally" announced!   And no stinking ditch lights on 4 numbers.

All that's up are the Horizon cars. Nothing about anything else like the double sheath boxcars. I am glad I am not a modern passenger train modeler this time.

They're offering them in NJ Transit paint but not NJDOT/EL, the original owner.

Yes but the original cars were a bit different in appearance to later cars.

So I’m just finally getting to this. A few cheers and a groan on my part. Horizon cars - cheer; late F40 - cheer; another cheer that I didn’t start upgrading my old Walther 90’s era Horizon kits with lights and diaphragms (not like I had time with my gazillion other half finished or not started projects)!!!

And the groan - how the heck am I going to pay for all this? The CFO might have a heart attack.

I'm impressed by the Horizon cars. If they came with vestibule doors that opened, I could finally model a "January 2019" version of the Wolverines where I pile replica snow in the vestibule and add a big bag of ice melt as a detail.

ALso, what is going to be the process to number cars, a decal sheet like the Walthers cars were?

You wrang?  Haha!  This was a Hiawatha Service car in Glenview, IL this past December.
