Model Railroading > Ski Train consist.

Ok, I'll just ask, since I'm sure others will want to know. What was a typical consist with the Ski Train during the Tempo years?

I see that Rapido has 3 different types of cars offered, so didn't know the difference of a coach and snack-coach, and/or how many of each they had.

You could do one for under a thou if you used existing GP60s or SD50s. I don't recall the Grande Gold F40PHs pulling it for very long compared to other power. Anyway, it's Rapido or nothing. If brass was made, it would be more. Just saying...

2000 was when the FP40H came on the scene, soyea, GP40-2, GP60, SD50, SD40T2 even SP SD45s pulled it one time. That would save you $750

I for one am all in on all of the cars as all that have been announced are required. It seems strange though that Rapido is producing 11 of the 14 makable cars. I hope that they consider producing these 3 missing cars from the announcement.

Also Jason, if you're watching this....car #3 is "Pikes Peak" not "Pikes Park". It is listed in one location on the website as "Pikes Park" and in another location correctly as "Pike's Peak". 

Overall many thanks for announcing this train! I have been waiting quite some time for it, just too bad that it isn't running in this form any longer.

In terms of the three missing cars, they sound like the perfect idea for a hobby shop in the Denver area to commission as an exclusive...

I've already pre ordered the whole set with locomotives. We really do need the missing cars! If I am going to lay out this kind of coin, I need the whole consist.

Hi Josh,
In addition to the Pikes Peak issue, LaPlata and Pyramid should be Peak and not Park also. They are correct at the top of page but not lower as was Pikes.

That point has already been raised and bought to Rapido's attention IIRC.
