My model RR used to be housed in a T&P section house in Argyle, Texas, model of which is in the foreground of this photo.

I sold the property with section house to a fellow model railroader in the DFW area, and moved guts of the layout to Tyler, Tex.

no, it is alive and well as shown above.  It used to be housed in the aforementioned
section house, but I moved and sold the section house and the land it sits on to a
fellow model railroad enthusiast in the DFW area.  I salvaged the structures and
trains and built this new pike in my new crib deep in the pine forest of East Texas.

Thanks for posting these MKT red Geeps . That's the Katy scheme I recall from my youth .  --Kelly

Seems strange not to have a bathroom with the track running through it.

Used to love watching the "John Deere" Katy freights rolling through St. Charles MO when I worked at ACY Hobbies on Main Street as a kid. Sad to see the line gone but one can ride the trail if so inclined. Always thought a short tourist line would have been nice running south a few miles and back like the Strasburg does using MKT 311 from the Transport Museum in St. Louis with some of the wood cars from the collection.

I keep coming back to this thread to look at the photos. Outstanding layout. And, that Katy paint scheme is cool.
