This is certainly an interesting read. The crooks certainly had it planned out. They new the location, figured a way to get night access, brought portable power tools, used club tools to lift the live steam cocomotives and get them through fences.

All was well until they tried to sell them to a dealer and he required a boiler record for each loco. I suspect they just got dumped into a river nearby.

What a shame.
