Model Railroading > SD45-2B off the workbenchDate: 07/21/19 16:01 SD45-2B off the workbench Author: Santafes95 Needed some more power on the Peavine so just made 5510 active. Had painted it and posted pics a while back but didn't like it. I stripped and repainted it using Scalecoat paint and the results are much better. I used Athearn's radiator fans that come in sets of three. I also purchased three sets of Athearn SD45-2 handrail sets and was able to used one set and a part of another. They are a little tedious and delecate but they worked out pretty nicely. The best thing about this unit is that it is sitting ona Kato and runs great. I have a hammer B unit head painted and decaled on the chassis. It just needs a pair of Kato trucks. Roll on Santa Fe.
