Walthers Proto Heritage steam DCC?

Are all the Proto Heritage steam locos (that aren't already DCC fitted) DCC ready?

I can only speak to the first run 2-8-8-2; it has an 8-pin plug and is DCC ready. Pretty much plug ‘n play. If you’re doing sound, aim the speaker forward and the sound will come out of the slot for the drawbar - no need to drill holes.

The earlier 2-10-2's had a plug in the tender although I think I had to rearrange the wires. No idea about adding sound.

Regarding adding sound, I had entertained thoughts of putting a sugar cube speaker under the stack.
One look on tight everything was on the inside quickly killed that idea!
