Model Railroading > A study in streamlining - SP v LNERDate: 08/11/19 14:55 A study in streamlining - SP v LNER Author: WrongWayMurphy Both the SP P-14 and LNER A4 were built for speed, the former for the Dallas-Houston run of the Sunbeam and the latter
for the Kings Cross-Newcastle-Edinburg corridor. That they were both spotted in Fort Worth, shown here, is a bit unusual. SP's MT4 was also a passenger engine, running mainly in California, but also spotted pulling the Sunset Limited between LA and Texas. That it would be meeting a LNER A4 at Dallas is a bit of a stretch. First photo my home layout, the Texas & Gulf, in Tyler, Tex. Second photo at the Texas State Railroad Society layout in Palestine, Tex. Date: 08/11/19 15:38 Re: A study in streamlining - SP v LNER Author: PeaBock619 Flying Scotsman visited Texas before. I'd love to see another British steam engine visit America.

Do you mean the custom painted brass Hallmark P-14 remotored with can motor and TCS WoW Sound decoder with bright white LED headlight? Now that we know the details about the Sunbeam, how about LNER? Is it made by Hornby? Thanks! Greg Date: 08/14/19 14:25 Re: A study in streamlining - SP v LNER Author: WrongWayMurphy Yes, its a Hornby. I put a Loksound decoder in it, appropriate for a corridor engine.
I gave it to a friend from Yorskshire, for his 75th birthday last year. More on that in a future thread, later this evening.....
