Some bridges are just big.

One of our members of the Indiana Live Seamers built this bridge in his back yard.  Not quite the "plane in the basement."
Another member used his heavy equipment trucj to move it over 60 miles to the track.

This is a 1/8th scale bridge.
It was moved on it's side.

Wow lots of work went into that along with lots of steel.  Guess it will be decked with something like expanded metal?

I will post a photo later of the finshed bridge.  I need to go to the track today and I will grab a photo.  I do not have on in my files. I amusually riding when I go through the bridge.

It has a wooden deck.

That's a pretty significant structure. Do you have to get any kind of structural engineering approval before using it?

The builder was an engineer and the erector was a state highwy bridge builder.
