SP 1125 a few steps closer to completion
Author: superchief73

Had some bench time and added some touches to my S8. DCC and remotored with NANO LED and Firebox flicker. I used Scale Coat Black,  Alclad Aluminum,  Testors Enamel Zinc Chromate and Gloss Red.

SP 0-6-0’s were ubiquitous on the system. Looks like a great, well executed project.

Nice work!  I have one of these little gems and you’ve given me an idea of what it would look like painted.

Thanks for sharing!

Paint looks great. I've never seen that type loco before, but the tender looks very cylindrical and light. Were they once tank cars?

Thank you for the compliments. I have spent counless hours trying to perfect the sheen. Not Tank cars but SP had these tenders built to their specs. I believe they were referred to as sausage tenders.
