Amtrak Acela at 150 Scale MPH

Lionel Amtrak Acela speeding by at 150 scale miles per hour.  

And to add, this is the way the set came by Lionel with only 3 cars between the 2 end units. Additional cars are seperate addon's.

Scary! Your layout must be one of the few with enough straight track to permit you to try this. Did you have another camcorder to record the "Great Wreck of 2019" if she derailed?

Bob, you are funny!! Nah, actually at that high speed because of our wide radius curves, it can go around the curves at that high of speed.

Do the locomotives still have Magnetraction to help them pull and hold the rails? That was a big marketing attraction back in the 1960s.
