SSAM Boxcar
Author: Jimmies

A couple of weeks ago, I picked up another 50' Berwick boxcar (among a few other items) at the train show in Woodstock, Ontario.  This Branchline model has a very nice paint scheme, and lettered for The Sault Ste. Marie Bridge Company it caught my attention.  The boxcar has now spent some time at the weathering station, fading and rusting a little bit, so here is the before (1st) and then the afters showing my results.  Thanks for looking.

Very nice fading job! I too own such a car complete with EOT but repatched for WCCL Yep, after viewing this my car could use a little more enhancements as shown here....

Very nice. Not too over-the-top and the roof is fantastic!

The best weathering jobs are like this one. Worn but taken care of.

Looks great!  In addition, the warehouse, and specifically its windows look incredible.

A few hundred cars done to that level would make any model railroad near-perfect and believable.....excellent work.

Thanks very much everyone.  I've been really pleased with the way this boxcar turned out, and I'm happy that you like it as well.
