Custom Espee just for funs
Author: sp8192

Here are two SP's that I just finished.  The Atlas C40-8 started life as an NS loco.   The Kato AC4400CW started as a CP loco.  Both were stripped, detailed, and painted in Scalecoat 2.   I always wanted to see what a speed lettered C40-8 looked like.   I also wanted to see what an SP AC4400 would look like in non speed lettering.  Well here you go!   Good or bad criticizms always welcome.  They are just plastic toys...right??!

Fantastic looking. Just plain awesome. Maybe a Ace or T-4 down the road...

Absolutely superb, all of those locos!

It's weird but if someone said to me imagine an all-over mid-grey loco with a red nose I wouldn't be inspired at all - but when I see a clean SP loco I think it just works so well, utterly classy.

They look great Big Dan. Now let's run those babies with some pink well cars and some speed lettering stacks sets beheind them!

8800 almost seems to take us back to the days when steam engines had everthing on the outside of the engine, piping, pumps, feewater heater, sand lines, low water alarms, seperators, dynamos, everything to give a steam engine some real character.  And, 8800 reminds  me exactly of that. Just look at all the details on the body.

Nothing wrong with any of those, very nice. Need to do some more if possible.

Just exactly where does one place an order for some of these?
Well done for all three models.

Cool looking locos! Paint finish and decal work is flawless too.

The Dash 8 came out great -- It's a total bruiser in gray. An amber beacon above the cab would be the "cherry on top".

Those big overhanging radiators on the SD70ACe are just begging for some Elephant Ears!
