Just hink how many railroads had C30-7's. Its endless. The Atlas is just Ok and just an average runner. A nice one would sell like hot cakes
Santa Fe, UP, SP, Mopac, Family Lines, Conrail, CSX, Milwaukee Road, BN just to name a few.  It is time.

Amtrak California/Surfliner cars...still no sign of those. I wonder if we'll see the newer low level cars before the older two level cars.

It's starting to fell like upgrades are more requested than new stuff. Lots of great stuff out there and more on it's way already announced.

And as for the C30-7's, SP and Milwaukee didn't have any, they just had U-boats.

I know you asked about EMD and GE, but my answers to this question are always the same:

Diesel:  Alco C-415
Stream: Harriman boilered 2-8-0

EMD/ICG SD20, GE C30-7, Decently priced RTR/Operator EMD SD9/SD18, Standard Gauge Porter 0-4-0.

If you had asked me at this time last year, I would have said an accurate BNSF Dash9-44CW, but now we have that!

A GP40/40-2...in O scale!

As an O scale 2 rail modeler, I'm amused by the "hardships" the HO guys have to endure!  Of course, I choose my scale fully knowing what I'm getting into!  For me it's definitely more of a "journey" thing than a "destination" thing!

How about some Australian ES44DCi and ES44ACi motors in Rio Tinto and Roy Hill schemes.

Not an EMD or GE but I'd like to see Atlas re-run RSD12  (low nose SP with all the lights, please)
Note: I know this loco has the flaw of being slightly short because the reused the mechanism but my self would live with that.
Would be better yet if they repaired the issue and made it perfect.
The reason I like these, besides being an Alco fan is it's a good size. It's short like SD35s and SD9 and would
be a good addition to run with them. Also though it's shorter wheelbase would be a good selling point for folks
with smaller layout, sharper radii who want a newer 6 axle Alco.
I would love to also see a C415, the long promised one from Bowser or whomever. I kind of gave up on them and
converted two older brass ones with Atlas mechanisms, sound keep alive etc but would still but a few if were made
again SP, BN  SP&S etc.  just a fun loco.
Now how about a C855  I have a friend who would buy a couple LOL
EMD or GE   meh ... most have been made. Maybe an upgraded C boat as I don't have any with sound (but could just
retrofit.)  Maybe an SDL39   ( I know I'd buy at least one ) But Athearn and Scale Trains et all have pretty much covered the spread on
these. I know, cause I got em.  What else do we really need?

A later version of the GP40 than the one Atlas offers.  I've kind of given up on them since a couple key players left.

They certainly appeal to a regional audience, but I'd so be down for a 6-7 car set of high-end RTR Amtrak Surfliner and Amtrak California Cab/Coach/Cafe cars!

New York Central and Nickel Plate H-5 Mikado. They were the largest class of steam on the Central (in quantity) and besides the NKP having them, some were sold second hand to class ones and shortlines in the U.S. and Canada.

For EMD:  A high quality SW-1 with road specific details.

For GE: High quality 44 or 70-tonner
