Model Railroading > Livin' Large, on a F unit FridayDate: 01/24/20 07:15 Livin' Large, on a F unit Friday Author: WrongWayMurphy These F's graced an outdoor 7.5" gague track southwest of Fort Worth a couple years ago.
,Both sets are battery powered with full sound system, mars light, etc all the goodies. I was on a single underwhelming SSW black widow GP7 at this meet. Date: 01/24/20 07:25 Re: Livin' Large, on a F unit Friday Author: WP805A Nice looking Santa Fe and WP F units .

First time I have ever seen them either in person or in pix years back either Mountain Car or Cannon Ball had a three unit set they brought up to Train Mountain.

Kent in CArmel Valley Date: 01/24/20 10:17 Re: Livin' Large, on a F unit Friday Author: tomstp They are Cannonball units. Cannot help on other questions. The WP units have been sold to someone either in Arizona or California. Santa Fe units still run on the Comanche & Indian Gap RR and are owned there by Danny Click.

Thanks Shane and to the person about size, don't know the exact scale that the Cannon Ball units were built to but could have been a little larger so the motor would fit inside. Tunes are scale size think but not sure 1.5 check his Facebook page under Museum Trains. Another note one of the members here has expressed that he might be intrested in getting the Back Yard Rails Great Northern F set up and running along with the passenger cars for it. Has not run in about 20yrs afte an attempt to put too large an engine in it. After thinking about it seems the Cannon Ball units were electric I think has been about 20yrs ago. Boyd Edited 2 time(s).
