Model Railroading > Wiring in a Keep Alive / Current KeeperDate: 02/11/20 14:15 Wiring in a Keep Alive / Current Keeper Author: mtzctrain Hi guys,
We've got one of the Walthers F40ph units that came with factory sound installed that runs less than desirable... especially over switches. I looked at the track pickups walthers uses in the trucks, and all seems to be connected properly. So we got a TCS Keep Alive and I can't figure how to wire it up to the Soundtraxx Economi decoder in this unit. I looked on the web, but couldn't find a similar install to the DCC board used in this model. Anyone have any tips? I just don't want my keep alive to go up in smoke. Thanks, Caleb Date: 02/11/20 14:25 Re: Wiring in a Keep Alive / Current Keeper Author: ChrisCampi An actual Economi has the small white connector mounted on the board. If it's a board soundtraxx made for Walthers you can email Soundtraxx service and they can send you a pic. At least they have for me in the past.
