Model Railroading > Frisco Steam is alive and well.Date: 03/23/20 14:12 Frisco Steam is alive and well. Author: Frisco1522 Latest thing out of the West Pacific shops is this Frisco USRA Lt. mike with the tall cab. This started out as an Akane model that I picked up cheap about 6 months ago. Finished tuning it up today and got the Econami decoder tweaked the way I wanted it. It hasn't been through the Pan Pastel shop yet, but could go into service on a break in run now. Can motor and KTM gearbox.
I should have put a brakeman in the doghouse. Getting old and this is getting harder because of essential tremors now and then. I still enjoy brass bashing though. Edited 1 time(s). I removed the Akane USRA cab, made new sides and end walls, kept the roof as it has the correct profile. I did one a while back with the conventional Frisco cab. Also just finished a 4100 for a friend. Date: 03/23/20 20:02 Re: Frisco Steam is alive and well. Author: tomstp Damn good lookin engine.
