Model Railroading > BN GP30, Woodinville, WADate: 03/26/20 18:00 BN GP30, Woodinville, WA Author: M-420 Like many others these days, I am working my way through some backlog of projects.
Here is one that I am now nearly done with: This project is an ex-CB&Q GP-30, BN #2249 (Q #972). Starting point of course, was a Lifelike P2K model that I repowered with a Kato GP35 frame and mechanism.Details added included: Tsunami 2 decoder/567 turbo sound, LED lights, metal cover plate on top light set, functioning rotary beacon, cab sunshades, relocated airhorn, firecracker antenna, flat plate pilot. I am not done with the weathering yet (due to airbrush issues), but I did get started on it including using the amazing Tamiya black edge accent on the hood doors. cool stuff. I took her out for a spin today and while running in Woodinville, I made a half-assed effort to duplicate in HO, a photo I took of 2249 in the real Woodinville back in 87. Brian E Edited 1 time(s). What stands out for me is the great job you did weathering the rail. Ya, I'm weird that way :)
