Model Railroading > Fantasy Alert: Kaiser Steel gondola

Fantasy Alert: I was placed on quaratine status for 14 days so the mild fever lead me to disguise an old Bachmann gondola and turned it into a Kaiser Steel gondola. Kaiser did not have gondolas like this, I just wanted to make use of a car I had no plans on using. I am a fan of Eagle Mountain Mine ran by Kaiser Steel and I had extra decals so I decided to give it a go. I had fun and it helped past the time. I hope everybody is staying safe and thanks for looking.

          That bridge would be a sure candidate for a wash out if water ever came along. Hardly enough room under the bridge for a rabbit to run.

There was plenty of room before the channel silted in.

nice looking car . what ifs are great  any thing is possible . nice job .

The picture is the actual location I modeled. It is where the EMRR crossed Phone Line Road just south of town. It's amazing how much sand is moved around from flash floods which makes them so dangerous.

Good grief, there really is a prototype for everything!  

Nice job! A lot of old or inexpensive cars can really be improved with a simple paint job.

Wow! That’s certainly not something that I’ve encountered in my travels around the Midwest. Interesting!

This is just one of the reasons why they take flash floods so seriously out in the desert.
They move a lot of stuff around and can kill you in a second.
