Bob Date: 06/23/20 10:26 Re: Lionel B&O E7's pulling passenger train on CFMRRM Author: chakk Nice train. I rode the Columbian many times in the 1950s and 60s between Washington, D.C. and Chicago. Your equipment nearly matches the regular consist. Most of my journeys had two coaches between the diner and the observation car, and one or two coaches directly behind the coffee shop car (which was one of the first cars to be reassigned to the Capitol Limited later in its career). On all of my journeys, the dome car was directly in front of the diner and the short end of the dome car was facing forward -- the stairs from the dome led down to the longer coach section.
