Currently building my 3rd layout with it. Great Stuff. Solid for DCC. Not for everyone and certainly looks different. Some talk about cost but with eBay and others it really is not bad when you compare to traditional cork, a good quality track, and Peco quality switches to build the traditional way. Plus Kato is a good company. Northridge Switcher Date: 06/24/20 07:31 Re: Kato n scale unitrack Author: Highhood goneon66 Wrote:

I totally agree. I switched because of the almost flawless operations and the solid electical as I was just moving to DCC when I moved to N Scale Unitrack. Take care, Northridge Switcher Date: 06/24/20 16:48 Re: Kato n scale unitrack Author: goneon66 hey northridge,
fyi, i have also used "resistance soldering" for some track feeders on kato unitrack. and yes, operationally, very minimal derailments with kato unitrack. be safe........... 66 Date: 06/24/20 23:15 Re: Kato n scale unitrack Author: Cumberland I have used Kato N scale track for over a 25 years+ now, and still use the track that came with the starter-set I got when I was in 2nd grade!
However, about 10 years ago Kato decided the revise the method the ballest-like look of it. This, by my opinion, makes it appear with a less realistic look - probably to cut cost, but its durability has stayed the same. Matthew |
