Model Railroading > Central Texas Santa FeDate: 08/08/20 18:58 Central Texas Santa Fe Author: Txtrainman60 EMD Fs, Geeps, and CF-7s are predominate on area trains in the late 70s and 80s. Many of these tired old geeps will soon be rebuilt, and more Fs will be converted to CF-7s.

Rodney Date: 08/09/20 10:46 Re: Central Texas Santa Fe Author: tomstp Very nice weathering. Those scenes remind of times gone past. Now, if you just had some PA's on a San Angelo passenger train!!!

As a young lad, I rode the 2654 on more than one occasion as this class worked the local jobs in Torrance, CA, for a few years and showed up on the "turns" that operated down Santa Fe's Harbor District in Southern California.
JB Date: 08/09/20 16:30 Re: Central Texas Santa Fe Author: Txtrainman60 As a young teen, I was lucky enough to know many employees on Santa Fe's old Dublin sub. and rode ALL these types of units on locals and switchers. That's one reason I remember them so well on the inside and out!
